Sandstone cup

NOK 649.00

This unique cup, designed by Marthine Spinnangr in collaboration with Milla Studio (now Millalab), is inspired by sandstone—a sedimentary rock often found in deserts. Sandstone is formed when grains of sand are buried and bound together by minerals over time, creating a naturally rugged, multidimensional appearance.

The cup is crafted from three types of clay organically shaped into its distinct design. The exterior is left unglazed to emphasize the texture and highlight the raw, inherent quality of the natural material. Crucially, the surface texture of each cup is entirely unique, determined by how the clay settles during the forming process—meaning no two pieces are exactly alike.
